The Stellar Industries 12644S Rear Stabilizer is a heavy-duty stabilizer system designed specifically for compatible Knapheide crane bodies. Rated for crane applications up to 55,000 ft-lbs, this weld-on stabilizer combines manual outward extension with hydraulic downward deployment to provide additional rear support during crane operations.
The manual-out/hydraulic-down design allows the stabilizer to be positioned outward by hand and then hydraulically lowered to the ground, helping transfer lifting loads away from the chassis and create a more stable working platform.
What This Part Is Used For
The Stellar 12644S rear stabilizer is used on compatible Knapheide crane bodies to provide additional support during crane operation. The stabilizer is manually extended outward and hydraulically lowered to the ground to help reduce chassis and service body movement while lifting heavy loads.
Common Reasons For Replacement
Existing stabilizer is bent or structurally damaged
Hydraulic cylinder is leaking or damaged
Stabilizer will not lower or retract properly
Manual extension mechanism is worn or damaged
Ground-contact components are bent or damaged
Welded mounting structure is cracked or distorted
Excessive corrosion has weakened the assembly
Stabilizer no longer holds position securely
Crane body is being rebuilt or upgraded
Original stabilizer has reached the end of its service life
